You can download the demo of Studio Manager 11 now. You’ll need an iPad, iPhone or iPod touch running FileMaker Go to see the meat of this release. If you have FileMaker Pro 10 or 11, the demo will work as well — it just won’t be very different from the FileMaker 10 demo.

When you have FileMaker Go, you can get the demo on your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch directly from the download link on our site (minimal registration required). You can also download the demo to your computer and then transfer the demo to your device via iTunes. If you have dropbox and the free dropbox app on your iPad or iPhone, you can open the demo in dropbox and then send it over to FileMaker Go.

We are now turning to finishing up documentation for using Studio Manager 11 on your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch. Work continues… We are working on an eBook that will be readable in iBooks. The iPhone version is about done, so that may be up later today. The iPad version is more extensive in scope so it may be a while longer. If you have an iPad and iPhone, do try Studio Manager 11 on both.

We released the last full version of Studio Manager 10 in December 2009. Since then FileMaker 11 was released and we made some tweaks to support its changes. We also have been slaving away on the Studio Manager 10 User Manual and now that is done. Current customers of Studio Manager 10 will be receiving a download URL shortly.

All during the year, we make minor tweaks and additions to Studio Manager. None of that was reflected in the demo that’s been up. Sorry about that, time only goes so far. But we now do have a new demo up that reflects the product should you be interested in knowing exactly what it does and how it feels to use. Today. See the top item in the right sidebar for the link.

Next up is the Studio Manager Demo Getting Started manual. That should be done next week if the stars align. You can get by with the Studio Manager 9.2 version of the Getting Started manual but we won’t rest until we get these auxiliary manuals done.

Just a few minutes ago, we decided to extend the 25% off sale to January 15. We were a little late getting Studio Manager 10 out the door, releasing it on December 22nd. A little too close to Christmas for a lot of people. When we sent out notifications, we got a lot of gone for the holidays notices. Under the circumstances, we are really happy with the response to our sale.

And, we are pretty sure more of you want to upgrade to Studio Manager 10 but need a little extra time to evaluate the demo which didn’t come out until December 23. Some of you may want to deduct this expense in 2010 rather than the less than stellar 2009. It will take some time to update all the screenshots here on our site and also in the Demo Manual and Getting Started Manuals. Probably mid-January. Sorry, but we can’t start them until the product is done and these are serious and hopefully very good manuals. We trust that the Studio Manager 9.2 versions of the manuals will tide you over. And, if you find something confusing, don’t hesitate to call or email me personally.

One more thing, if you put Studio Manager or SM in the subject line, it turns red for me in Apple Mail and makes it easier for me to see your request.

We’ve got the latest version of the product ready to go in demo format now. Loaded up with fresh data. Just fill out a few quick fields so we can track interest and grab the new Studio Manager 9.2 demo!

We have the demo up which will let you see Studio Manager 9.1 plus it will let you run under FileMaker Pro 10. We did have to revise the first version of the demo since it first went up on Monday. An improvement we made had an unexpected consequence of losing your place in contacts. That bug has been squashed!

We recommend that when you download the demo, you get the short Getting Started and Demo manual.pdfs too. But, don’t forget to also click over to our new online SM9 Demo: Getting Started lessons. We think they are a bit more fun with step-by-step illustrations – 1 screenshot per step.

Drum roll please. It has been a long haul to get Studio Manager 8 out the door. This will be at least a two part process. First out the door is the Studio Manager 8 Demo and the Studio Manager 8 Demo Manual.

You are gonna love this new release. For quite some time now, we’ve been promising an overhaul of our Studio Manager interface. We had over 300 layouts and no simple way to change styles on multiple layouts at once.

We were waiting for FileMaker to release OS X transparency tools and what not but got tired of waiting and just said enough is enough! So, we grabbed FileMaker 8.5′s new tab control features and ran with them.

Now we have these amazing new native tabs in Studio Manager 8. You’ll see more tabs but in return you’ll see less on the screen, more white space, a simpler UI and even professionally designed icons! One of our clients helped us out.
